Toro Set to Reveal New Products at SALTEX 2018

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Toro Company has announced plans to unveil several new products during this year’s SALTEX 2018 event at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK. A leading global manufacturer of garden and landscaping equipment, Toro will also be showcasing a variety of turf management products – from those that serve the needs of homeowners like the PowerPlex® cordless tool range, walk-behind and ride-on mowers to turf management equipment like the Toro Grandstand® stand-on mower, the ProStripe® 560, and the Outcross™ 9060, Toro’s latest innovation.

Among the products that will be revealed publicly for the first time is the new Toro Grandstand stand-on mower, now available with rear-discharge mowing decks in either 91cm (36”) and 122cm (48”) cutting widths. This feature enables clippings to be evenly dispersed across the cutting width for a fine after-cut appearance, as well as making the mower much more manoeuvrable in smaller spaces.

“SALTEX is Europe’s largest annual turf management event, so it’s the perfect place to introduce the new rear discharge Grandstand mowers,” said Chris Cooper, product manager at The Toro Company. “With the rear-discharge design, operators are able to trim on either side of the deck — no need to change direction to avoid discharging debris on roadways, pavement or flowerbeds. It’s another robust and flexible option for grounds care professionals.”

Designed to be quick and comfortable to use, Grandstand models combine the benefits of a professional walk-behind mower with the speed and productivity of a stand-on — enabling operators to mow larger areas in less time. The mower’s wide stance and optimal balance also improve stability and control, making hillside mowing easier.

The new Toro ProStripe 560 combines the benefits of a precise cut and a clean striped finish with the simplicity of a walk power mower. The compact, lightweight design is ideal for striping smaller areas of turf, easily manoeuvring into tight areas. Key features include a two-piece ribbed roller design that leaves a crisp stripe without marking or damaging turf. The mower is also equipped with MatchCut™ technology, allowing operators to quickly and easily fine-tune the cutting height to match other machines.

Toro will also introduce the all-new Outcross 9060, a revolutionary, turf-friendly machine that delivers on the benefits of both a tractor and a super-duty utility vehicle. Designed to allow superintendents and turf managers to do more with less stress, less labor, fewer resources and less time, the multi-purpose Outcross 9060 is a versatile, powerful and productive addition to any operation.

SALTEX visitors will be able to see Toro products displayed both at stand E065 hosted by the Toro Hayter UK office and stand H010 hosted by Reesink Turfcare, Toro’s commercial distributor in the UK.
