BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Imagine a walk-behind mower with a self-propel drive system that works in both forward and reverse. That’s the game-changing idea behind Toro’s new 22" Recycler® Personal Pace® mower with PoweReverse™. It allows homeowners to mow challenging areas with less effort by assisting both forward and backward operation

This new feature delivers power where it’s needed based on the mowing direction. The front wheels help power the mower in reverse, while the rear wheels sense and adjust to the user’s preferred walking pace to power the mower forward. It’s all at the user's fingertips with Toro’s Personal Pace operator controls.

“PoweReverse has a Personal Pace self-propel system that activates in both forward and reverse, so you have extra power to get in and out of challenging spots,” explains Wade Tollison, senior marketing manager at The Toro Company. “This mower was designed with ‘human factors’ in mind to make mowing your lawn easier than ever before. It’s perfect for mowing in tight areas such as fence corners, under low tree limbs or decks, or around landscaping or playground equipment — any area in your yard that requires a lot of back-and-forth motion.”

The mower also features a new ISO-FLEX™ handle with a cushioned design that isolates the homeowner’s hands from the feel of the bumps and vibrations often felt when mowing with a typical lawn mower. For added convenience, the handle flexes within a range to make it easier to adjust and maneuver under low obstacles.

In addition, this new model is equipped with Toro’s Recycler cutting system, which suspends and recuts clippings into fine mulch for a healthy, lush lawn. When homeowners want to collect clippings, they can switch from mulching to bagging in seconds by flipping the Bag-on-Demand quick-change lever. Other features include a powerful 159cc Toro® engine and 11" high rear wheels to tackle uneven terrain with ease.

The new 22" Recycler PoweReverse Personal Pace walk-behind mower is now available at authorized Toro dealers. For additional details on the new PoweReverse Personal Pace mower, please visit www.toro.com/powereverse.
