New Toro® PowerPlex™ 40V Max* Lithium Ion Product Line Now Available
Comprehensive battery-powered handheld line focuses on enhanced run time, high performance
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Take charge of summer and fall yard care with Toro’s all-new PowerPlex™ family of handheld 40V Max* lithium ion products – now available online and at select retail stores. The complete range of equipment is ideal for homeowners who value compact and easy-to-use products that rival the power and performance of gas-powered models. The product line includes a brushless DC blower, a brushless DC chainsaw, a 24-inch hedge trimmer, a 13-inch string trimmer / edger, and a 14-inch brushless DC string trimmer.
The entire PowerPlex family was designed to be highly productive and simple to use. The battery is interchangeable between products, allowing operators to easily switch from one task to another. The T90, included with each complete tool, is a 40-Volt Max*, 2.5 amp-hour and 90 watt-hour lithium ion battery, providing up to 40-60 minutes of run time per charge, depending on the tool.

- The PowerPlex blower can move more debris with air volume up to 480 CFM and comes with a unique nozzle attachment that helps boost air speed up to 150 mph.
- The 24-inch hedge trimmer boasts a 90-degree rotating handle for easy horizontal or vertical operation.
- The PowerPlex 14-inch chainsaw is ideal for storm clean-up or property maintenance, and a fully functional chain brake comes standard on the unit.
- Both of the PowerPlex string trimmers feature variable-speed trigger control to handle various applications, and offer a run time of approximately 40 minutes on a single charge.
The PowerPlex family also includes a quick charger with the T90 battery. The T180, an optional upgrade, is a 40-Volt Max*, 5.0 Amp-Hour and 180 watt-hour battery, nearly doubling your run time on the tools. Both batteries include an on-board power meter, and the T180 battery features an integrated LED flashlight, USB charging port for charging tablets, cell phones and other small devices, plus a folding handle for simple transport.
