BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Toro has enhanced the stamped cutting deck on 42-inch TimeCutter® zero-turn mower models by re-engineering the deck to improve clipping distribution. The new enhancements to the cutting deck also allow for quicker changeover to mulching or bagging functionality.

Specifically, the cutting deck was redesigned with a larger, wider-angle chute opening to promote effective clipping dispersal. The new enhancements will also help spread clippings up to 80% further than the previous cutting deck assembly. The new stamped cutting deck will be available on all TimeCutter steering wheel or lever-controlled models with a 42-inch cutting deck.

The models that will incorporate the enhanced stamped cutting deck include:

  • TimeCutter SS4225 (74726)
  • TimeCutter SS4200 (74711)
  • TimeCutter SW4200 (74788)

“We want to make sure that we’re always providing our customers with the best mowing experience, and that includes making sure that clippings are distributed properly,” said Atul Patel, marketing manager at Toro. “The enhancements we’ve made to the new stamped cutting deck for the 42-inch units will help us continue to deliver amongst the best after-cut appearance on the market for this class of mowers.”

The new stamped cutting deck assembly also comes with an optional mulching kit that has 80% fewer parts than previous mulching kits. No tools are needed to attach the mulching kit – only to change out the blade. Another option for 42-inch TimeCutter mowers is the bagging kit. The new design allows for faster, more bag fill and less tendency to clog thanks to the wider opening.

The Toro TimeCutter stamped cutting deck will be available in spring 2018 from Toro’s trusted network of dealers and distributors and The Home Depot. For more information about Toro products, please visit www.toro.com
