The Toro Company Supports 2025 National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation

Harnessing innovation to help communities make a measurable water-saving difference

Apr 08, 2025  |   Homeowner

The Toro Company is proud to continue its long-standing support of the National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation, an annual campaign presented by the Wyland Foundation that inspires communities across the United States to embrace sustainable water practices. Now entering its 15th year, the challenge empowers residents to make small, everyday changes that collectively yield powerful benefits for our environment and communities.

From April 1–30, residents are invited to visit mywaterpledge.com and commit to simple water-saving actions. Participants can track their localized impact in real time using the new Impact Insight Tool, which reveals how their choices can positively affect water quality, infrastructure health, and even the cost of living in their area.

Why It Matters

The Toro Company recognizes that smart water use is critical—not only for sustainable landscapes but also for the future of our cities, natural resources, and communities. As a leader in innovative water-saving technologies, The Toro Company is dedicated to supporting initiatives that bring people together around a shared commitment to conservation.

“Efficient water use is a responsibility we all share,” said Edric Funk, group vice president for Golf, Grounds, and Irrigation at The Toro Company. “By supporting the Mayor’s Challenge, we’re proud to encourage households, schools, and businesses to discover how small changes can lead to big impacts—starting right in their own backyards.”

Take the Pledge – Make a Difference

Residents who take the pledge will be eligible to win a variety of eco-friendly prizes—including water-saving products from The Toro Company, utility bill assistance, and other rewards. Cities with the highest participation rates will earn national recognition as America’s most water-wise communities.

Join The Toro Company and thousands of others in building a more resilient, water-conscious future.

Take the pledge April 1–30 at www.mywaterpledge.com.
